Halloween this year was pretty fun. We ended up having to scrounge last minute to come up with costumes, we definitely didn't get as creative as last year. We even thought about going as the same thing as we did last year since we are in a new town and no one would know but opted out because of the prospect of having to blog the same Halloween costume 2 years in a row. We didn't end up much better though as I still re-used a costume from 2 years ago and went as a lady bug. We decided JR would go as the bug catcher but we had some difficulties finding a hat for him to wear. Without a hat his costume was really pretty boring so rather than go boring he went random and wore an old wig I had. No one got his costume, I think the wig ended up throwing them off. Little children were also afraid of him. Anyways, the end product may not have been the greatest but he sure was able to be his crazy self which is all that matters right?

You like that? We had a good time at our ward Halloween party though. I really enjoy seeing the little kids all dressed up. So cute!
My work Halloween party was held in Bakersfield California this year so I had a nice 2 hour drive. When I first joined my team here in Fresno I was told I had to choose a superhero that I wanted to represent me. I was given a book to scan through and choose one and in the end decided upon "Amethyst, Princess of Gem World" I chose this superhero based strictly on the name. What girl wouldn't want to be a Princess of a land called Gem World? Fo real! Anways, little did I know that in 2 months time I would have to dress up like Amethyst Princess of Gem World. I wasn't' sure where to go with that so I got real ghetto like and cut up a blanket and bedazzled it with gems and tied them randomly on my body. I wish I had a better picture to show the ridiculousness of my costume but this is all I've got

And finally, to wrap up Halloween you've gotta have a pumpkin carving contest. For this particular contest we were given a pumpkin and some stuff to carve with and then a baggy of goodies including chop sticks, a tea light candle, a green glitter pen, 2 plastic spoons, plastic straw, and a rubber band. We were told to use these products alone and here is the outcome:

I didn't even take a picture of the back with the cape. That was the best part. Moving on to Thanksgiving now...
